Which one sounds like you?

My contract is ending

We'll check your current supplier's renewal offer against prices from other suppliers. If staying is the right call, we'll tell you. If not, we'll arrange the switch.

I want to switch supplier

Maybe the service has been poor, or the price no longer works. We'll compare options and, if you're ready, move you to a new supplier, timed to your contract end date.

I'm moving into new premises

When you take over a building, the supply often stays with the previous supplier on default rates. We'll find out who supplies it and help you get a proper contract in place.

What happens if your contract just ends?

If you don't act before your contract ends, a few things can happen. It depends on your contract and supplier.

  • Out-of-contract rates. You may move onto your supplier's standard or out-of-contract rates. These are usually higher than a fixed contract.
  • Rollover. Some contracts roll onto a new fixed term if you don't give notice in time. Check your terms for any notice period.
  • Deemed rates. If you move into premises and don't agree a contract, you'll usually be on "deemed" rates. These are often among the most expensive.

The simplest fix is to plan ahead.

When to start looking

You don't have to wait until the last minute. Many suppliers will let you agree a new contract several months before your current one ends. The new contract then starts on the day the old one finishes.

We suggest getting in touch as soon as you know your end date. If you have a notice period, we'll help you work out the date you need to give notice by.

Already in contract? You can usually still agree your next contract early. Leaving a contract before it ends is different. It often means exit fees, so we'll always check your terms first.

What we need

  • A recent bill for each supply (electricity, gas and/or water)
  • Your MPAN for electricity. It's the long reference number on your bill.
  • Your MPRN for gas. It's the meter point reference number on your bill.
  • Your contract end date, if you know it
  • A signed Letter of Authority (LOA). This lets us speak to your supplier on your behalf. We'll send you one to sign.
  • For new premises: the address, your move-in or tenancy start date, and meter readings on the day you move in, if you can take them

Know your end date? Let's get started.

Send us a recent bill and we'll take it from there.
